The upgrade achieves improved performance while setting up Ethereum to handle future scaling requirements.
EIP-6110 stands out as a major update because it transfers validator deposit processing to the consensus layer. The update reduces the time required for new validators to join the network while simultaneously strengthening system security. With EIP-7002 validators now have more control over withdrawals through smart contracts. Staking platforms benefit greatly from this feature which also increases security when users connect to third-party services. EIP-7691 improves Layer-2 scalability by doubling the blob capacity each block can handle which enables the network to process large data volumes more efficiently.
