2027 Sony Championship Hawaiʻi Tickets Released

Golf fans can now secure tickets for the 2027 Sony Championship Hawaiʻi, a new PGA Tour Champions event set to tee off at Waiʻalae Country Club in Honolulu. The tournament will showcase 78 professional golfers competing for a $3 million purse from January 11 to 16, 2027.

Return of a Tradition: New Golf Event Follows Sony Open Departure

The launch of the Sony Championship Hawaiʻi follows the PGA Tour’s decision to discontinue the long-standing Sony Open, prompting collaboration between the state of Hawaiʻi, PGA officials, and Sony to bring this new tournament to the islands. According to tournament director Travis Steiner, "the 60 years this tournament’s been around Hawaiʻi is phenomenal," highlighting a strong legacy in the community.

Ticket Prices and Inclusive Offers

The organizers have introduced a broad ticket program designed to be accessible and fan-friendly. Ticket options for the 2027 Sony Championship Hawaiʻi include:

• $30 for Wednesday’s Pro-Am
• $40 for tournament days
• $100 for a weekly grounds pass
• $275 to $290 per day for premium Pro-Am and hospitality tickets

Children age 15 and under, as well as current and retired military members and their dependents, are eligible for free admission. Steiner commented, “The accessible pricing reflects the community-friendly nature of PGA Tour Champions, where player access and the fan experience are of the utmost importance.”

Professional Golfers Set for Waiʻalae Country Club

The field at Waiʻalae Country Club will feature 78 professional golfers. Fans will have the opportunity to watch these legends compete on one of Hawaiʻi’s most iconic courses, maintaining the tradition and prestige previously associated with the Sony Open.

Charitable Impact and Community Commitment

A significant aspect of the Sony Championship Hawaiʻi is its charitable commitment. Proceeds from the sale of golf tournament tickets will directly benefit local Hawaiʻi charities, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000 to non-profits in the state.
